Da Lat

The Vietnam’s last emperor, Bao Dai was inspired by the natural beauty of Da Lat. He built the Summer Palace in Da Lat in 1933. The original golf course has been redesigned and expended to a plushed 18-hole course, which consistently earns high ranks from international sporting magazines and draws golfers from all over Asia.

dalat-avaWhile some of the colonial mansions have been beautifully restored, others remain neglected, and the sight of these majestic villas, their roofs covered in moss and their tennis courts choked with weeds, lends the town a poignant air of faded elegance.

For leisure time, travelers can visit the oldest train station with the last steam locomotive in Vietnam, visit Bao Dai Palace, or enjoy a cup of coffee and watching people in one of many stylish coffee shops. You can ride a bike, an elephant around Tuyen Lam lake or trekking and more. Travelers can fly to Dalat from Saigon, Hanoi or Danang.
